Virtual_DJ free download with key

Why would anyone use WAV files when there are perfectly good lossless codecs like FLAC and WavPack? Virtual DJ can support them if you install the corecodec packages, and then you've also got the ability to tag them.

But even still... when I DJ, I like to keep as much of my music as possible on my laptop hard drive. I've got lots of my music in FLACs, but that takes up about 500 GB, just for those, and I have a lot of music that isn't lossless. I highly doubt the average listener on a club dance floor could abx the difference between lossless and a high bitrate lossy file. I use 48kb/s AAC these days, which is awesome, because it allows me to have a good chunk of my music right on my laptop hard drive, and I can only tell the difference when I listen fairly closely with good headphones.

My philosophy is to have lossless files around so that you can transcode to a superior lossy file later, but it seems like overkill to carry the lossless around with you at all times like that, unless you're doing short "rave" sets that you can somewhat pre-plan in advance, and you only need to pack a couple thousand songs with you or whatever. I guess each DJ has a different way of working.
